I spent countless hours of my childhood getting lost in books as an escape from real life. When I got my first Smith Corona typewriter at age ten, I recall click-clacking into the wee hours, getting lost in the creation of my own worlds. My love for the written word had blossomed into a passion for writing!
The primary aspiration others had for my life was to be a good Jehovah’s Witness. Unrelated pursuits were discouraged and dismissed as frivolous in light of an ever-looming Armageddon. I decided early on that being a JW would not be my path, but I was woefully unprepared for the real world once I left the organization. It took many years of intentional work and self reflection to finally understand and tap into my potential. Learning to dream of things I thought were unattainable, and working hard to make those dreams come true, has filled my life with such joy and fulfillment! Today, I’m a practicing attorney, entrepreneur, and avid reader and writer. Like those who forged this path before me, I hope my words enlighten and inspire more Doers of Impossible Things.
THANK YOU
When my fiance died in a tragic accident in 2019, my grief was tempered by a global outpouring of love and support. Every kind word, gift, and prayer was vital in getting me through each day. You never let me forget there is still Light in the world, and Love prevails even in the darkest depths of despair. Thank you.
